The Either Prairies

The great plains are not the only prairies in the north America. There are also eastern prairies like the Kissimmee prairie in Florida, the Grande Prairie in Illinois and the prairies that covers up to one forth of Ohio. There are prairies west of the rocky mountains . Intermountain prairies like the sagebrush grass lands of Nevada. Desert grassland in new Mexico and Arizona. California grass lands like the ones in the central valley and foothills of California. all of these are different and unique grass land prairie communities.
